The primary focus of the team is church planting and maturation. In order to accomplish these primary goals, the team has worked in a variety of ways.

In the early years the Watchi missionaries found themselves heavily involved in evangelism.

Now, with the maturing of churches and clusters as well as the ordination of elders in several churches, evangelism is going forward through the Watchi themselves.

Our hope from the beginning was that after learning how to evangelize, the national would one day go forward with the proclamation of the Good News without the missionaries.

We praise God because our hope and dreams are now a reality!

This past year (2004) saw the largest increase in local evangelism that we've ever seen. In addition several churches were planted without any assistance by the missionaries.

God is indeed carrying forth the Gospel through the Watchi!

The missionaries primary focus now is leadership mentoring and training. 2 Timothy 2:2 speaks of Paul's instructions to Timothy to take what he had learned by Paul's side and entrust it to faithful men, that they too could teach and mentor others. Our focus and full attention right now is on mentoring and training leaders with all that we have received from the Lord as well as mentoring them on how to mentor others.

God is blessing this, as He did in Paul's day, and many workers are being sent forth to work in His Watchi Harvest Fields!
