My weekly plan was altered some due to an unscheduled bout of malaria. Sunday was spent with Vogan again and whereas most of our visits are encouraging, this one left us in a state of helplessness. In the end it seems as though God has pointed us in the direction of gentle rebuke for those who are standing against Hammer with hopes that they will repent and submit to being trained. This announcement was graciously put off by God by three weeks due to the malaria and other scheduled events. This a great blessing giving more time for prayer and the preparation of men's hearts to accept God's will.

Please pray for the upcoming all church conference. Nyinoume and Kpessou churches need deeper unity and hopefully this will come to pass throught their hosting the conference. Also, we are looking forward to the leadership meeting prior to the conference itself. We will have the opportunity to spend around five hours in prayer for the various needs in the work among the Watchi. Pray for unity, growth in maturity and vision, and for deeper love for each other.

Also, I do ask you for God to give me a break from the malaria as this is my third bout this year.

This week has been busy with more finishing touches on the teachers' house. The work has begun on the school rooms. The boys are continuing to improve their soccer skills in morning soccer camp with Rigobert. And their Eve learning is coming along, as well. I was given a night off from cooking, since our friend Adjo brought a meal of Akume and rabbit sauce this week. I am amazed at the generousity of our Togolese brothers and sisters, who give so freely out of their poverty. May God return manifold blessings on them.

Thank you for praying for Esi, the young Christian from the Kpotonou church (pictured on the left of this picture with her mother and little brother). Her headaches have gone down in intensity and she is doing much better in answer to your prayers. Pray that God would completely heal her in time to go to the all church conference.

Thank you for your prayers for the Sendome/Batoe cluster. They continue to have success laying the foundation for two new potential church plants. Pray that God will bless them with boldness, courage and zeal as they hold out the Word of Life.

This week everyone is getting ready for the annual all church conference to be held Friday through Sunday with a leaders meeting on Thursday. We ask your special prayers right now for this meeting that God would anoint our gathering with His Spirit; that hearts would be changed; that sin would be repented of; that faith would grow; and that all the schemes of the enemy to divide us will fail. As we fight on our knees in prayer, let us pray that that which is true, just, right and holy will prevail.

We also ask you to pray for our two teachers who will be leaving next week for their journey to Togo. Their names are Amy Shaffer and Emily Dunnagan, two graduates from Harding University who are coming to spend the next school year blessing our families and children. The last two weeks we have been fixing up our new schoolhouse with lights, Windows, new doorways, grounded electrical plugs, and a fresh coat of paint. The boys and the parents are all ready for school to start again and we are looking for to the arrival of these two wonderful young teachers. Join us in thanking God for his provision in all things.

Praise God that Matthew is better. He is back to his usual self. The boys are enjoying their last weeks of summer. I am reorganizing my schedule for teaching in the village. As soon as school starts I will begin a new schedule of teaching in Kpotonou, Batoe and Sedome. In addition to a bible lesson, I plan to start teaching health/ life-skills lessons monthly in these three villages. Please pray that I will be able to communicate well with these women and that they will be able to use the information in their daily lives. Please pray also that they will grow in their faith and be bold in sharing that faith with their neighbors.
